The short version
Get Secure is designed to protect your privacy and your agency. We do not sell your data. We do not share your personal information with advertisers. We do not require you to create an account. Your planning conversation is processed to generate your plan and is not stored on our servers after your session ends.

At the Academy of Life Planning we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy explains when and why we collect personal information about you, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others, how we keep it safe and secure, and your rights and choices in relation to your information. This policy applies to the Get Secure app and website at get-secure.app.

Who we are
We are AoLP -- the Academy of Life Planning -- an international provider dedicated to helping people make the most of life and money. Get Secure is one of our public interest tools, designed to help anyone living with financial insecurity build a personalised pathway to income security and beyond.
What information we collect
Your planning conversation
When you use Get Secure, you have a structured conversation with an AI guide covering your values, your life story, your financial situation, and your goals. This conversation content is processed by Anthropic to generate your personalised plan. This data is not stored on our servers after your session ends. We do not collect your name unless you choose to share it. We do not require you to register or provide an email address.
Voice recordings
If you use the voice recording feature to record your Life Script, that recording is stored locally on your device only. It is not uploaded to our servers or shared with any third party.
Notifications
If you enable daily habit reminders, your notification preferences are stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to this information.
Usage data
We may collect anonymised usage data such as device type, language selected, and pages visited to improve the service. This cannot be used to identify you personally.
Sensitive information
Get Secure asks about your financial situation, your life story, and your personal values. We treat this as sensitive information and handle it with the highest level of care. We do not store your conversation after your session ends.
How we use your information

We do not sell or rent your information to third parties. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share your information with:

Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your personal information, and to object to certain uses. To exercise these rights:

Children and vulnerable adults
Get Secure is not intended for use by children aged 16 or under. If you are aged 16 or under, please get your parent or guardian's permission before providing us with any personal information.
We are committed to protecting vulnerable users. Get Secure includes trauma-aware design throughout, and we observe good practice guidelines in all interactions with vulnerable people.
Cookies
Get Secure may use essential session cookies to maintain your conversation state during a session. These are deleted when you close the app. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Any changes we make to this policy will be posted on this page with an updated date. We keep this policy under regular review.
